Javier Escalante is the Founding Partner of TACTIC Legal and has more than 25 years of experience advising domestic and international companies, investors, and organizations on corporate, commercial, real estate, aviation, international trade, and foreign investment matters.

Throughout his career, he has combined a distinguished private practice with an accomplished career in public service and diplomacy. He has held senior positions within Costa Rica’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Trade, Trade Negotiator, Consul General of Costa Rica in Singapore, and Ambassador of Costa Rica to the State of Qatar.

His international profile is further strengthened by his status as a Full Member (TEP) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the world’s leading professional association for experts in trusts, estates, and succession planning.
