Anayansy Rojas Chan is a distinguished Costa Rican attorney with over 30 years of professional experience in financial law, arbitration, secured transactions, and corporate advisory. She has held key positions in Costa Rica’s securities market, including serving as Director of the Legal Department of the National Securities Commission (now SUGEVAL) and as a member of the Legal Department of the National Stock Exchange (Bolsa Nacional de Valores S.A.). As an independent consultant, she has advised regional and international institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), with a focus on regulatory frameworks and post-trade infrastructures in financial and securities markets.
She currently works as a consultant and trainer in financial markets, arbitration, and secured transactions, as well as a legal advisor to participants in the securities, financial, and pension markets. In addition, she serves as an arbitrator at Costa Rica’s main arbitration centers, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Costa Rican Bar Association, and the International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (CICA). She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Civil and Commercial Law Commission of the Costa Rican Bar Association, where she trains professionals in financial markets, arbitration, and secured transactions.
