Liliana Sánchez has been with A.D. Sosa & Soto since it was first established in 2004. Before that, Ms. Sánchez already had more than one decade of practicing corporate law for coffee export companies at Soto & Soto, one of the three firms that merged to form A.D. Sosa & Soto. Ms. Sánchez has been providing legal counsel to an established list of local and multinational companies with a long history in the Guatemalan market. Among her many notable engagements are joint ventures in the production and export of fruits, acquisition of new product lines by retail companies, and acquisition of local partners’ participation in retail companies. Over the course of her career, Ms. Sánchez has gained vast experience analyzing assets and valuing assets and real estate properties for purchase and sale. She has also negotiated and contracted securities, trusts, and administration loans for the purchase of significant assets; as well as conducted due diligence for the purchase of shares or ownership in companies. She enjoys her corporate and contract practice the most because they allow her to use her creativity to achieve her clients’ best results. Ms. Sánchez also serves as a mediator of disputes.
Ms. Sánchez’ pro bono work includes the incorporation of a Guatemalan branch of the Price Philanthropies Foundation, a private foundation that seeks to improve life opportunities for children and families through grant making and programs that benefit students and teachers at public schools.
